• Who is this course for?

  This course is for people interested in learning more amateur radio and acquire the licence to operate an amateur radio station.

• Why do I need an amateur radio licence?

  The radio wave spectrum is a property of the society, and it must be tightly controlled and regulated. The amateur radio operators are part of the user community of the spectrum and need to know basic rules about using the spectrum when operating the radio station.

• Is there some option to operate the radio station without having the licence?

  Some frequencies are specifically assigned by the regulatory body called OFCOM to be used by the general public. This is called licence-free. Please consult your shop, whether the radio (walkie-talkie) requires an amateur radio licence.
